I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings. Comprehend the message. Do not shoot the messenger.

The voicing of opinions between the economist and the minister a la WWF is just that. The Rock could not have done a better job.

Ms Gillian Wall, co-founder of the NGO powerful ladies of T&T (PLOTT), as far as I am concerned, there is no need to explain what took place at the forum where you expressed exactly how you felt and I applaud you for being honest and sincere in calling a spade a spade.

CXC has issued a “revised” CSEC English syllabus for implementation in their examinations from May–June 2018 to 2027.

It is no secret that we are seeing hard times and I don’t believe that there is anyone who is not being affected.

Once again the manufacturers/distributors of plastics have escaped an environmental tax on containers.

The Minister of Finance must be commended for his 2018 budget presentation. Colm Imbert has successfully changed the government’s narrative of economic hardship to a new narrative of economic recovery ie “this is how we plan to manage our country’s circumstances.”

This is a simple bit of advice for Mr Colm Imbert. I have no problem with the taxation on the gaming industry but sir, that 10% tax on the Play Whe winnings will do more harm than good.

I totally agree with Dr Wayne Kublalsingh’s view that the optimal speed limit for the highways in Trinidad and Tobago should not be raised to 100 kmph. There is absolutely no logical reason to increase the speed limit from 80 kmph to 100 kmph because slower has proven to be safer.

It is very annoying to see number of homeless persons, vagrants, drug users and addicts using the St James Link Road, pavements and now the St James Amphitheatre as their homes and toilets.

Anyone passing in the vicinity can see human faeces and scattered garbage in those areas.
