Citizens of T&T should smile and take a bow and, while they are at it, keep their heads down to fully represent the level of shame brought to this country.

Every month, a pensioner within Arima Old Road, Arouca, “loses” their pension cheque. I’ve now seen two such cases with my grandmother. When the paperwork is followed to the ministry (which requires a waiting period of two months), the cheques are listed as encashed.

There has been a major development regarding the health effects of cell phone radiation.

There was a recent debate in Parliament about pension issues as they relate to private and public sector employees.

Why haven’t we heard from the chairman of NP, Neil Gosine? Why this silence from him? One thing that is clear to me is that this is another plot in the great conspiracy to make life difficult for the Government, to pressure the Prime Minister, to make the country ungovernable...

It is a shame that Winston Dookeran has decided to resign as the COP’s political leader. Dookeran brought a new approach to political leadership in this country. Yes, it is true he lacks the charisma and oratory skills of some other political leaders.

The more I look at the People’s National Movement and its strategies, the more I think it needs a competent strategist. Apparently, the party is lacking ideas and silly utterances by its leader and other MPs are not helping the cause.

The Minister of Health is trying her best to fix the health system, but can’t more be done to assist the poor and vulnerable in society? The private hospitals operate like cartels. If you can’t pay, crapaud smoke your pipe. Recently I started having pains and swelling in my right knee.

The Concise Oxford Dictionary defines an “allegation” as “an assertion, esp an unproved one.” I find Keith Rowley’s remark that he feels “embarrassed” and his description of the allegations against Jack Warner as an “international scandal” which has brought “shame, disgrace and inconvenience to...

The picture of PM Kamla Persad-Bissessar and MP Anil Roberts in a sari and kurta, respectively, is a beautiful example of why our country is a special place on Earth. It lifted my spirits and warmed my heart.
