MASSY Stores achieves ISO flagship certification

Massy Stores T&T has attained the globally recognised ISO 9001:2015, the flagship Quality Management Standard (QMS) from the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).

In a release last week, the company said that it had now become the first major supermarket chain in the Caribbean region to achieve this certification.

ISO certification is the most esteemed QMS sought after by organisations worldwide.

ISO 9001:2015 replaces the previous ISO 9001:2008 standardisation, reflecting the way globalisation has impacted business operations, with increasingly complex supply chains and greater expectations from customers.

To achieve the certification, Massy Stores focused on enhancing its processes with an aim of becoming more efficient and improving customer satisfaction.

Derek Winford, Chief Executive Officer of Massy Stores, noted that the organisation’s ISO certification would benefit its customers.

“Our ISO certification is a testament to Massy Stores’ commitment to providing the highest level of quality to our customers,” he said.

“We are proud to be the first major retailer in the region to obtain this certification, and our customers now have the added assurance that top of the line systems are in place to ensure an optimal consumer experience.”
