Emergence unveils today

Gregory Laurence’s Art Exhibition, entitled Emergence, and hosted by Horizons Art Gallery, is scheduled for unveiling today, at the Gallery, 37 Mucurapo Road, St James. The exhibition runs until October 13.

Gregory Laurence was born in Trinidad and received his secondary education at Fatima College, Woodbrook, and later studied Fine Art and Graphics while he was an apprentice to artist/graphic designer Barry V Pierre.

He also worked for some years in the textile industry, producing a variety of one-of-a-kind t-shirts, both hand-painted and screen print.

Laurence has participated in several group exhibitions: Bo’s Art Space, Art Creators, Aquarella Galleries, Horizon’s Art Gallery and Studio 45 in England.

He has done commissions for institutions including his most recent in 2007 for Restaurant Garibaldi Fine Italian Cuisine.
