The Government will appeal the High Court ruling on the ruling that the buggery law is unconstitutional.

Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Stuart Young made the announcement at today's pos-Cabinet media conference.

Minister Young was asked whether the government prefers to maintain the status quo.

However, he said he was not in a position to comment further because he was not privy to the details.

The Minister referred those questions to Attorney General Faris Al Rawi.
